YOU WILL RANK QUICK – if you do it will only be a fluke.

According to a study by Ahrefs done on 2 million webpages … the average Top10 ranking page is 2+ years old. And those that rank at position #1 are almost 3 years old (on average). In fact, only 22% of pages that currently rank in the Top10 were created within 1 year.

95% of published pages don’t get to the Top10 within a year let alone to the top 3.

 

IT WILL BE CHEAPER THAN ADVERTISING – not necessarily.

SEO works to get your site higher in the organic rankings so that you rank for customers typing queries applicable to your content 9It takes time). Ads allow you to target particular keyword phrases and then create an ad that promotes your site and content for those using those keywords.(It’s instant). Ideally both should be used.

Also some SEO companies offer cheap SEO services that are not worth paying for in SEO you get what you pay for , if you choose a good company.

 

IT WILL BE PERMANENT - not necessarily.

SEO is not predictable and “forever” it is not. That’s why a healthy mix of marketing activity is the best way to ensure your business success.

SEO is largely done by making sure that your website pages are set up the right way and then getting votes (links) for your pages from other websites. There is generally a cost to getting those links. Often the guy that spends the most wins. The cost below are typical.

Low level costs £500+ per month.

Mid-level £2,000 - £4,000

High-end £5,000 -$10,000

There are many stories of web sites and pages ranking high one day and dropping like a stone the next. Even after having spent a fortune.

Because they were caught breaking the rules, the algorithm changed or a competitor out spent them.
